R1 — The spirit

Climb,
and grow.

“Verso l'alto” — upward. It is the motto of Pier Giorgio Frassati, mountaineer and saint. It is also the meaning of every outing: aiming higher, on the cliff and within yourself.

No sensations to consume here. A real, beautiful adventure in which you progress with simple words, solid technique, and the time it takes.

Safety, the bedrock

We do not gamble with life. Checked gear, current technique, clear margins: rigour is not an option — it is what makes the adventure possible.

Real progression

Understand what you are doing, gain autonomy, and leave with knowledge explained simply — and the pride that comes with it.

Adventure, the real thing

Wind on the harness, the void made friendly, the beauty of great landscapes. The kind of day that stays with you.

“C'est majeur !”

R3 — The guide

Benoît-Marie.

State-certified rock climbing instructor (natural terrain) — in love with the limestone of the South.

“Adventure has never been a pastime: it is an education.”

Son of an adventurer, eldest of four boys, I grew up among bivouacs, high plateaus and great campfires. That is the education I pass on.

Climbing built me, and taught me measure. We do not gamble with life: technique is trained, margins are respected. It is that rigour, explained in simple words, that will take you far. Calm is a skill — the first one I teach.

“Verso l'alto”, the motto of Pier Giorgio Frassati, gives the direction: using climbing to lift — the body toward the summits, the whole person toward something greater. My faith is the heart of this story; the cliff, its most beautiful terrain.

SEA · LIMESTONE

Calanques

Climbing between pine trees and the Mediterranean, in the great white light of Marseille.

RED RHYOLITE

Esterel

Red rock, evening gold and the sea as a backdrop. Adventure just next door.

THE BLUE STREAK

Céüse

The queen of crags and her blue streaks in the limestone — the climbers' pilgrimage. She gives her colour to the life-line running along this page.
